Hi, I'm Piyush.

I live on the stunning Mediterranean coast but I come from a close-knit family near Delhi, India. This blog is a space where I explore my experiences with anxiety and what it's like to navigate emotions across different cultures.

Growing up in a nuclear Indian family in the hot and dusty Delhi suburbs, "worried" encapsulates the prevailing state of my mind. Whether it was pressure to excel in school or family expectations, there was always a persistent undercurrent of worry. A few years ago, I got the means to describe what was actually going on in my brain, largely through therapy.

Then came a major life change: moving continents! Suddenly, I had to find new ways to process my emotions in a completely different environment. Journaling, or as I prefer to call it, "brain vomiting," became a lifesaver during this transition. It helped me organise my thoughts and stay grounded. Now, as someone who values authenticity and connection, I've decided to take this exploration here.
